Do You Have Flu Vaccine Questions?
Flu vaccine questions abound. Should you get the flu vaccine this year? Should your children? Is it safe? Is it dangerous? Is it even effective? How can you find answers to your flu vaccine safety questions?
On April 25, 2011, Brazil kicked off its country-wide flu vaccine campaign.
Before getting vaccinated, or allowing your child to be vaccinated with the flu vaccine--or any vaccine--it's very important to ask yourself some vaccine questions and to search for the answers with an open mind and perseverance.
It's important to seek the information you need not only from allopathic doctors, who often simply repeat the pharmaceutical corporations' claims about their own products. It's also important not to limit your search to only the official health department's information.
Where else can you look for information and answers to vitally important vaccine questions?
It's important to ask (or read information from) doctors and researchers who independently, honestly, and objectively seek the truth about the effectiveness and the dangers of the vaccines as well as the dangers of the sicknesses they claim to protect people from.
Below are eight questions the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) wisely advises asking yourself before getting vaccinated or having your children vaccinated.
The NVIC is a national charitable, non-profit educational organization that launched the vaccine safety and informed consent movement in America in the early 1980's and advocates for the institution of vaccine safety and informed consent protections in the public health system.
"These questions [are] designed to educate consumers about the importance of making fully informed vaccine decisions," the NVIC explains on their site.
If you vaccinate, first ask eight!
- Am I or my child sick right now?
- Have I or my child had a bad reaction to a vaccination before?
- Do I or my child have a personal or family history of vaccine reactions, neurological disorders, severe allergies or immune system problems?
- Do I know the disease and vaccine risks for myself or my child?
- Do I have full information about the vaccine’s side effects?
- Do I know how to identify and report a vaccine reaction?
- Do I know I need to keep a written record, including the vaccine manufacturer’s name and lot number, for all vaccinations?
- Do I know I have the right to make an informed choice?
If you answered yes to questions 1, 2, and 3, or no to questions 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 and do not understand the significance of your answer, you may want to review information on NVIC's website with links to other websites and resources so you can better answer these questions designed to educate consumers about the importance of making fully informed vaccine decisions.
We urge you to visit the NVIC site. It is an excellent starting point for your personal research on vaccines and the diseases they are supposed to protect people from. The eight questions and the paragraph immediately following them are taken from their site.
It's important to know that the vaccine being used in Brazil this year (2011) includes the H1N2 (swine flu) vaccine, which has already been reported to have serious negative effects in some cases, including miscarriages, infantile febrile seizures, narcolepsy, and more.

In this interview she tells us about a homeopathic treatment which she believes should be effective for the prevention and cure of swine flu (H1N1).
On what basis should you decide whether or not to vaccinate your children? Barbara Loe Fisher, co-Founder and president of NVIC, talks about swine flu vaccine questions and safety issues in this short but powerful video.
